  2. Vose Korndogs will be open 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Fridays-Sundays in May, starting this Friday, May 3, 2024 in their usual space on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Can’t wait.

  4. The Village of Dolton law firm quit the Village, this is the 2nd firm to do this since Mayor Henyard was elected Mayor.

  5. You know what definitely isn’t going on? Any media investigation into all the other domestic battery cases where Bob Berlin didn’t file petitions for detention. A battered woman is murdered, and two days later, the story is over (Rich’s best efforts notwithstanding).

    Wonder if they are going to be stuck with the likes of Clifford Law next, or the firms that employ infamous attorneys whose first names are Sam (Adam Jr., and Cahnman).

  7. Received a notice from Xfinity that they tossed Bally Sports to the curb. That’s no going to impact me as a Chicago fan, but that’s going to be really bad news bears for St. Louis folks, right?

  8. Is Michael Kopech the White Sox own David Clyde? Sheesh is he bad especially compared to the hype.

  10. Not trying to get too national but I am getting nervous about the Dem convention in Chicago this summer. As much as the nationwide campus protests are about Israel-Gaza I think there is an undercurrent to them about the D.C. Dem Party’s gerontocracy ruling class refusing to relinquish power and young Dems being sick of that. Here’s hoping JB and Brandon can work together to figure out how to pull off the convention without hiccups from outside agitators and that somehow things calm down by August.

  12. C130s and KC135 practicing overhead, as well as a C32 on approach to Springfield airport makes for a nice way to kill time until session starts.

  13. ===practicing overhead===

    Watched a couple of military planes practicing flying together over the weekend. Was pretty cool.

  14. C-130s and a KC-135 were practicing over Springfield last Thursday or Friday as well. It was a neat sight to see them fly over my house at maybe 2500-3000 feet in close formation. That is the cool thing about Springfield, it gets a lot of military planes from Scott AFB and Peoria using the airport for practice on a pretty regular basis.
